A blast furnace is a core process in the Metals Industry, used to extract molten metal from raw ore. This large, continuous-operation furnace operates by introducing hot air and raw materials into a vertical shaft, where chemical reactions occur at high temperatures to separate metal from impurities. The resulting molten metal collects at the base of the furnace and is then transferred for further refinement.
